Description
As the largest social planning project in the heart of the capital the main objective is to improve the living standard and environment for residents of the city’s biggest slum area. Upon redevelopment they will have access to new employment opportunities, healthcare, education, utilities, clean water, religious and other public amenities.

In addition, the project would include a new fishing port, creative industries and business hub at the heart of this world-class waterfront district. It will focus on developing and nurturing the local young talents in the identified growth sectors and provide them with a range of education, business and entrepreneurial support facilities.

The federal government of Pakistan was quoted in calling this Belt & Road Initiative project to rebuild Karachi’s coastline under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) a “game-changer”.
